Facing the frontier of disciplines, giving full play to the interdisciplinary advantages, the team has undertaken a number of major national science and technology projects. There are 12 provincial and ministerial level and enterprise projects, including 1 major special sub project of the Ministry of science and technology, 4 projects approved by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 project completed, and 2 projects approved by Beijing Natural Science Foundation. Team members published 146 journal papers, of which 98 were included in SCI; 42 patents were authorized and 42 patents were applied, including 7 US patents and 2 international patents.

After collecting throat swabs from patients, viral RNA was extracted and reverse transcribed into complementary double stranded DNA, and then real-time quantitative PCR amplification of DNA was performed. Then, the initial RNA concentration was deduced according to the concentration of amplified DNA products corresponding to the fluorescence signal intensity of amplified DNA.
