The School of Information Technology achieved excellent results in the 8th Group Programming Ladder Competition

 On April 22, 2023, the final of the 8th “China University Computer Competition—Team Programming Ladder Competition” organized by the National Association of Higher Education Computer Education Research was held at the Computing Center of Changping Campus, Beijing University of Chemical Technology. More than 16200 students from 483 universities across China entered this competition, including Peking University, Zhejiang University, Wuhan University, Sichuan University, National University of Defense Science and Technology, Beijing University of Technology, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, et al. Four teams, totaling 40 students from our School of Information Science and Technology participated the final competition. After three and a half hours of intense competition, our teams won a total of one national first prize, one second prize, and one third prize.

The “China University Computer Competition—Team Programming Ladder Competition” is a key competition included in the “National Discipline Competition of ordinary colleges and universities”, aimed at improving students' computer problem-solving skills, enhancing their programming skills, cultivating teamwork spirit, and improving the overall quality of college students. The competition focuses on examining the basic programming skills, data structure, and algorithm application abilities of the participating teams, and reflects the overall level of programming teaching in universities through group scores.

In recent years, the School of Information Technology develop an Online Judge (OJ) competition training platform to strengthen the competition training and explore high-level team members with potential and perseverance. The following is the list of winners for this competition:

National First Prize: Zhang Shidong, Zeng Zixun, Liang Kaixing, Ba Yi Di Li Da Ma Mu Bai Ti, Xu Wenbo, Huang Dongqi, Xue Mohan, Liu Xiangrui, An Xiaoyang, and Hu Jin;

National Second Prize: Wang Peisen, Zheng Liangfei, Wang Yao, Tang Yan, Qiu Ruoxin, Wang Yan, Wang Kongyu, Sun Tongyu, Zhou Quan, and Hong Dongpeng;

National Third Prize: Liu Junshu, Zhu Wenye, Yu Haojie, Liu Jiongliang, Zhou Hao, Zhao Yifei Yang, Cheng Zhikai, Liu Shiwei, Lv Jialin, and Zhang Yuqi.
