Background
Prof. Zhu received the Ph.D. degree in Control Science and Engineering from the College of Information Science and Technology, BUCT in 1996. Currently, he is a Professor at the Department of Automation. His research interests include fault diagnosis, process modeling, soft sensor, machine learning, and computational intelligence, and has published over 400 academic papers in related field. He is the Director of the Engineering Research Center of Intelligent Process Systems Engineering, Ministry of Education; CAA Fellow; Director of the Chinese Chemical Society, and the Chairman of the Beijing Association of Automation. He has led over 40 projects, including key R&D programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, key projects of the Ministry of Education, and key projects of China Petrochemical Corporation and China National Petroleum Corporation.
