On the morning of November 30, 2023, Paul Doyle, head of School of Computer Science, Technological University Dublin and Brian Gillespie, assistant head of School of Computer Science, Technological University Dublin came to our college to carry out the BUCT - TU Dublin student exchange program and 3+1+1 bachelor and master joint training program. More than 40 students participated in the event.
Professor Brian Gillespie began with an overview of TU Dublin, Ireland's first technical university and the largest university in Ireland, with around 29,000 students. Thanks to the school's emphasis on the application of knowledge for more than 100 years, the employment rate of its graduates is consistently among the highest of all higher education institutions in Ireland. Second, Professor Brian Gillespie focused on the three core courses of the School of Computer Science, Software Engineering, and Data Science and Artificial intelligence. Due to the strong subject, many graduates say they can find a good job after completing their bachelor's degree, and more than 900 software companies work with Dublin Institute of Technology. Finally, Professor Brian Gillespie said that TU Dublin offers some Chinese courses and welcomes Chinese students to continue their studies at TU Dublin. Professor Paul Doyle also said that students will benefit greatly from participating in the BUCT - TU Dublin student exchange program and 3+1+1 bachelor and master joint training program.
In the interactive Q&A session, students talked directly with the two professors in English, and developed great interest in the exchange program and the joint training program.
