Background
Wen Hong, Ph.D., Visiting Professor, is a researcher at the Institute of Air and Space Information Innovation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Received M.S. degree in signal processing from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Northwestern Polytechnical University in 1993, and Ph.D. degree in communication and electronic systems from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (BUAA) in 1997.Served as a teaching assistant, a lecturer, and an associate professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering, BUAA, from 1997 to 2002, and a one-year guest research fellow at the Institute of High Frequency Technology of the German Aerospace Academy (IAA) in Germany. From 1998 to 1999, as a guest researcher at the Institute of High Frequency Technology of the German Aerospace Academy, and joined the Institute of Electronics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IEE) as a researcher in 2002.
Areas of Research of Expertise
Theoretical foundations of synthetic aperture radar (SAR), system development, image understanding and classification and its applications.
Research, development and application of ground processing and operation systems for remote sensing with SAR and other sensors on board
