Background
Qiong Ran, Ph.D., Associate Professor, received Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Remote Sensing of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth) in 2008, and joined the Data Management and Industrial Development Department of the National Remote Sensing Center (NRSC) in 2005.Engaged in the research of image processing of the first commercially-operated satellite of China, the “Beijing I” mini-satellite, and then worked at Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) in 2014. In 2014, joined Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and in 2016, received full funding from the China Scholarship Council to go to Mississippi State University to conduct research on image information extraction. Published more than 30 academic papers, including 10 SCI papers.
