On August 18, 2024, the national finals of the 20th "Baidu Star" programming Competition held by Baidu was held in Jiuhua Shanzhuang, Beijing. After 5 hours of fierce competition, Xu Wenbo, a student from the School of Information Science and Technology of our University, won the gold medal.
"Baidu Star" program Design Competition is held by Baidu Online Network Technology (Beijing) Co., LTD., is an annual competition designed to show students' innovative ability and ability to write programs, analyze and solve problems. It has been successfully held for 20 sessions since 2005, with a total of more than 300,000 participants, covering thousands of colleges and universities. It has become one of the most well-known and influential programming competitions in China, and a large number of outstanding talents have stood out through the competition, known as the "Whampoa Military Academy" and "star-making factory" of domestic programmers. The competition has been selected into the list of competition items in the "National College Student Competition List" of the Chinese Association of Higher Education.
On July 25, 2024, the National finals of the 2024 "Code Hoof Cup" National College Student Programming Competition was held online, and the students of the School of Information Science and Technology of our school won 5 gold MEDALS in the finals, and our school won the Excellent Organization Award.
"Code Hoof Cup" National College Student Programming Competition is an algorithm design competition sponsored by the National College Computer Education Research Association. Participants solve problems encountered in practical scenarios by using certain algorithm abilities, aiming to stimulate students' learning enthusiasm for computer programming and improve computer professional ability. A total of 10,315 students from 1,708 schools participated in the competition this year.
