On May 18th, the 12th National College Electrical and Electronic Basic Course Experimental Teaching Case Design Competition (Dingyang Cup) National Finals, guided by the Teaching Steering Committee of Electrical and Electronic Basic Courses of the Ministry of Education and organized by the Electronic Discipline Group of the Joint Conference of the Chinese Institute of Electronics and the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, came to an end at Harbin Engineering University. The case of "Comprehensive Application Experiment of Sampling Theorem" by the team led by Ma Fei from the School of Information Science and Technology at Beijing University of Chemical Technology stood out among the 173 teams that entered the national finals, winning the first prize at the national level (a total of 36 items) and the "Best Engineering Award" (only 2 items, selected from the first prize winners).
The National Experimental Teaching Case Design Competition for Basic Courses of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Colleges and Universities (Dingyang Cup) is the only experimental teaching competition for basic courses of electrical and electronic engineering in colleges and universities across the country. In 2018, it was included in the national evaluation project of teaching competitions for teachers in regular colleges and universities by the China Association of Higher Education. This competition was held in the form of regional preliminaries and national finals. The country was divided into five regions: North China, North China, West China, Central South China and East China. A total of 682 entries were received. After review by the regional competition expert groups, 173 regional first prizes were selected to participate in the national finals. In the national finals, the expert group of the competition organizing committee selected 36 first prizes, 52 second prizes and 84 third prizes from 173 participating projects. Then, from the first prizes, 2 Best Engineering Awards, 2 Best Creativity Awards, 2 Best Teaching awards and 1 Dingyang Cup award were selected.
