Recently, The research team led by Professor Wang Youqing from the College of Information Science and Technology of Beijing University of Chemical Technology published a regular paper titled "Resilient Distributed Control for Uncertain Nonlinear Interconnected Systems under Replay Cyber-Attacks" in IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control.

This work proposes a distributed adaptive control method for nonlinear interconnected systems that may be affected by replay network attacks. Under the framework of adaptive approximation, a distributed controller and parameter estimator were designed by using the backstepping method. The stability of the distributed control system when under attack was analyzed, and the local replay attack and the propagation effect of adjacent attacks were considered simultaneously. In order to quantify the resilience of the interconnected system under the action of replay attacks, the boundaries of the duration of each attack and the rest time between two consecutive attacks were derived. Specifically, when the duration of each attack is less than the designed upper limit, the closed-loop interconnection system maintains asymptotic stability. Furthermore, if the rest time between two consecutive attacks is greater than the proposed limit, all signals of the closed-loop system are guaranteed to be bounded.
