The Institute of Computational Intelligence and Software Engineering (CISE) is mainly engaged in the research of intelligent software engineering, source code analysis, software testing and software model analysis. It consists of Intelligent Software Engineering Laboratory and Software Testing and Knowledge Management Laboratory. The institute has always adhered to the basic principle of combining theory with practice, teaching, scientific research and engineering application practice, and has made new achievements in research and application.

Software Testing and Knowledge Management Laboratory：The Software Testing and Knowledge Management Laboratory was established in September 2005. The main purpose is to establish an excellent research team, develop high-level research and publish high-quality papers, and strive for research fields such as software analysis, software testing, software reliability, software slicing technology, machine learning and knowledge engineering to achieve substantive results, and strive to improve the academic power and influence of the laboratory.

Intelligent Software Engineering Laboratory： Intelligent Software Engineering also known as Search Based Software Engineering (SBSE), is a new field of cross-research between intelligent computing and Software Engineering, focusing on the application of intelligent theoretical methods and practical technologies of Software Engineering Based on intelligent computing. The laboratory conducts research on intelligent software continuous integration test case optimization and automatic error positioning, etc., and is the sponsor of China search-based Software Engineering Seminar (CSBSE). The first CSBSE2012 and the seventh CSBSE 2018 were held in our school.
