The Institute of Automation, Beijing University of Chemical Technology (IABUCT) was founded in 2001. For nearly 20 years, IABUCT has advanced automation science and engineering. IABUCT has 5 professors and 2 associate professors including 1 new century excellent talent, 1 Beijing Science and Technology Star, 2 Beijing Excellent Talents and 4 doctoral supervisors. All the members have doctorate degree and 85% have overseas study experience. As an educational institution, IABUCT offers master’s degree programs, Ph.D. programs and one postdoctoral research programs. The institute enrolls over 30 new graduate students annually.

IABUCT focuses on the industrial automation technology. With the new information technologies such as big data, cloud computing, industrial Internet, mobile computing, artificial intelligence and so on, the intelligent optimization manufacturing of process industry has been implemented at different levels. IABUCT aims to advance the intelligent factory by fostering innovation. It is keen on developing strong academic and industrial links, leading to international collaboration as well as the practical applications of its researches.
