Experiment Teaching Center for College of Information Science and Technology was founded in 2001. It has 8 laboratories, including Electronic and Electrical Basic Lab, Software and Digital Media Lab, Power Electronics and Motion Control Lab, Automation Systems and Devices Lab, Communication Systems Lab, Signal Processing Lab, Detection Technology Lab, Intelligent Instrumentation Lab. The center also undertakes the Comprehensive Practice Teaching Base of Information Science and Electrical and Information Students innovation Base, offers the experiments and practical teaching of following Departments: Automation, Measurement and Control, Computer Science, and Information Engineering. In addition, it provides the experimental site and technical support for undergraduates in extracurricular technological innovation activities, open experiments, academic studies, academic competitions, etc.  

    Experiment Teaching Center has 11 full-time teaching staffs, including 7 senior engineers, and 4 of them have with Ph.D. degree. The area of the center is over 1200 square meters and has more than 1540 sets of equipment, which provide 42 experimental projects and practical courses every year.

    The center builds a virtual experimental environment by combining various laboratories from many famous enterprises, which ensures the quality of experimental teaching and teaching level.

Cooperating with prestigious enterprises in joint-development pattern facilitates solving the issue of disjoint of theory and practice. The center builts National Engineering Practice Education Center with Siemens and Lenovo.  

    In recent three years, with the major contribution of the center, the students of our college have received many honors in various academic competitions, including 2 items of National Grand Prize, 12 items of National First Prize, 27 items of National Second Prize, 35 items of National Third Prize; and more than 30 items of Provincial First Prize, dozens items of Provincial Second and Third Prize.

    Recent years, the center has been developed quickly in hardware and software conditions, experimental teaching system and experimental teaching management, etc. It has become a teaching and training base with solid academic foundation. Thus, it plays an important role in the talent cultivation mechanism at BUCT.

    The center has become the experimental base for creative practice activities of undergraduates in the field of information science at BUCT.
