On May 14, 2023, the National Invitational Contest of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) was held at Northwestern Polytechnical University in Shaanxi, China. Our college's ACM competition union, after a series of selections and intensive training, ultimately sent two teams to compete. The team named "GLHF (Good Luck Have Fun)" consisting of Huang Dongqi, Zeng Zixun, and Xu Wenbo from the collegeof Information Science and Technology, majoring in Computer Science and Technology, won the gold medal. This is the first time our college has won a gold medal in the ICPC National Invitational Contest.

It is worth noting that the 2023 ICPC National Invitational Contest (Shaanxi) was hosted by the ICPC Asia Regional Committee. More than 1,000 students from 361 teams representing their universities such as Shanghai Jiao Tong University, University of Science and Technology of China, and Beijing University of Chemical Technology participated in this competition.

The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) was initiated and organized by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) in 1970. It is an annual competition aimed at showcasing the innovative abilities, teamwork spirit, and problem-solving skills of college students in programming, analysis, and problem-solving under pressure. With over 50 years of development, ICPC has become the most influential international computer competition for college students, often referred to as the "Olympic Games" of the computer software field.

The ACM competition team of the School of Information Science and Technology is an outstanding guidance team in our university's academic competitions. In recent years, with strong support from the university and the college, the team has continuously strengthened the cultivation of programming and algorithm innovation capabilities by fully utilizing its own competition training platform. The team has consistently improved the level of participation and achieved excellent results in international and domestic high-level academic competitions such as the International Collegiate Programming Contest (Asia) and the China Collegiate Programming Contest.

The five hours passed by without us realizing it. I'm very grateful for my strong teammates, the guidance from our coach, the platform provided by the university and the college, and the stage provided by ICPC.
