The computer science department of our college visited Mälardalen University

From June 2 to June 9, at the invitation of the Mälardalen University, Sweden, Professor Yongming Han, Head of Computer Science Department of the College of Information Science and Technology, and Associate Professor Yong Liu, Head of the ACM competition team, organized a delegation to visit Mälardalen University.

During the visit to Sweden, the participating professors reported on the talent cultivation and teaching reform in their respective schools. Prof. Han Yongming introduced the history, research direction and talent cultivation achievements of Computer Science Department. Dr. Liu Yong introduced the internationalized courses in cooperation with Technological University Dublin in Beijing University of Chemical Technology. The participants paid great attention to BUCTOJ, the online evaluation system, and expressed their affirmation and praise for the system containing more than 7000 algorithm questions and nearly 2 million code evaluations. At the same time, the participants also had an in-depth discussion on the combination of the system with ChatGPT's big model.

Mälardalen University is a Swedish national university with a wide range of undergraduate and master's programs, such as intelligent embedded systems, software engineering, and informatics. This visit to Sweden was funded by the "Global Innovation Team", an EU teaching reform project jointly applied by Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Technological University Dublin, Mälardalen University and other universities. The researchers involved in the project went to Mälardalen University in Sweden, including Prof. Paul Gibson from Télécom SudParis, Prof. Radu Dobri from Mälardalen University, Prof. Anna from Technological University Dublin, Ireland, Prof. Mojca Ciglaric and Prof. Matjaz Pancur from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. During this visit, all sides had in-depth exchanges and laid the foundation for each side to further expand the future training of talents and scientific research in computer science.
