Abstract:

In the open environment such as intelligent driving and network content security, new data, new patterns and new categories are emerging, and new challenges appear in pattern recognition technology and application. This report first briefly reviews the basic concepts of pattern recognition in open environment, and focuses on the main techniques of pattern recognition in open set. Taking open set character recognition as an example, this paper expounds the basic framework and algorithm of open set pattern recognition. Finally, the application of pattern recognition technology in open environment is prospected.

Yin Xucheng, professor and doctoral supervisor, winner of the National Natural Science Foundation Outstanding Youth Science Fund, Dean of School of Computer and Communication Engineering, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Chief Scientist of Science and Technology Innovation 2030 -- "New Generation of Artificial Intelligence" major Project, Director of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence Technology Innovation Laboratory, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Deputy Director/Secretary-General of the Document Image Analysis and Recognition Committee of the Chinese Society of Image and Graphics, member of the Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence Committee of the Chinese Society of Automation, member of the Computer Vision Committee of the Chinese Computer Society, member of the Pattern Recognition Committee of the Chinese Society of Artificial Intelligence. He has been engaged in the research and application of pattern recognition, character recognition, computer vision, artificial intelligence chip, industrial intelligence and industrial software technology for a long time, and has published more than 100 papers in IEEE T-PAMI, IEEE T-IP, CVPR, ICDAR and other academic journal conferences. As the first completed person, he won 1 first prize of Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award and 1 second prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Education.


Open space collaborative edge swarm intelligence

Abstract:

The space-ground collaborative edge group intelligence technology uses a variety of unmanned mobile platforms (autonomous vehicles, drones, unmanned boats, unmanned ships, etc.) and rich sensors carried by people to collect big data of the Internet of Things for a long time, high quality and wide coverage, which can play an important role in smart cities, emergency response, future national defense and many other aspects. This report will explore how to propose a series of multi-agent deep reinforcement learning methods to support mobile population deployment, perception, and computing, as well as federated learning-based edge intelligence technologies for big data machine learning.

Biography:

Liu Chi, Professor and doctoral supervisor, winner of Outstanding Young Science Fund of National Natural Science Foundation, Deputy Dean of School of Computer Science, Beijing Institute of Technology, Director of Beijing Key Laboratory of Intelligent Information Technology, responsible professor of Computer Science and Technology, Member of Chinese Institute of Electronics. He received his bachelor's and doctoral degrees from Tsinghua University and Imperial College London, respectively, and was a postdoctoral researcher at the General Institute of Telekom Research in Germany, and a research director at IBM TJ Watson Research Center and IBM China Research Institute in the United States. His main research interests are: Intelligent Internet of Things technology. Presided over the national key research and development program "Industrial Software" key projects, "Strategic Science and Technology Innovation cooperation" key projects, National Natural Science Foundation Youth/face/excellent youth/joint key projects, x73, xx6 projects, etc.; He has published more than 70 CCF-A papers, authorized 44 domestic and foreign invention patents, and cited more than 9400 times by Google, with an H index of 46. He won the first Prize of Natural Science of the Chinese Society of Electronics, the runner-up of ACM SigKDD 2021 Best Paper, the runner-up of ACM MobiCom 2021 Best Community Paper, the Grand Final of the 2022 China University Computer Contest - Artificial Intelligence Creativity Competition, and the Excellent Paper Award of the 2022 China Computer Education Conference. He is currently a member of the National information industry "14th Five-Year Plan" planning expert advisory group, a member of the Technical Committee of the National Beacon Commission, IEEE Trans. Intelligent computing of serial big data

Abstract:

A large amount of sequence data is generated in industrial, medical and social fields, which has problems such as large data scale, difficult anomaly recognition and complex scene tasks. The core of intelligent computing of sequence data is sequence representation and long-term rule mining, multi-sequence association and anomaly recognition, intelligent decision-making collaboration in multi-task scenarios, high-performance computing of large-scale sequences, and supporting scientific decision-making based on sequence data. The relevant achievements are applied to the predictive maintenance of industrial equipment and other fields, and Huawei MindSpore jointly builds an open source system and community of sequence data.

Li Jianxin, professor, doctoral supervisor, winner of National Natural Science Foundation Outstanding Youth Science Fund, Party Secretary of School of Computer Science, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, visiting scholar of CMU Department of Machine Learning, Deputy Director of CCF Youth Working Committee, Standing Committee Member of Big Data Special Committee and System Software Special Committee Executive Committee, Deputy Director of CAAI Organization Working Committee, Standing Committee of Education Working Committee, etc. His research direction is big data computing, artificial intelligence, etc. He has presided over the 2030 new generation artificial intelligence major project, national science and technology support project, NSFC Joint key Fund, etc. He has served the national network information technology, public security and other fields, and published more than 100 papers in TPAMI, TKDE, TC, NeurIPS, KDD, etc. Awarded AAAI 2021, IWQoS 2022, DependSys 2017 Best Paper Award, CIKM 2022 Best Paper Honorary Nomination Award, etc. He has won 3 national science and technology second prizes, 4 provincial and ministerial first prizes, and was selected as Microsoft Scholars, Beijing Science and Technology New Star, New Century Outstanding Talents and young Scholars of the Ministry of Education, Excellent teachers of the Ministry of Education - Huawei Intelligent Base, excellent scientific and Technological workers of the Chinese Institute of Electronics (Top Ten), and so on.
