Background                                                                  

Dr. Xianbo Qiu is currently a Professor at the Department of Automation, College of Information Science and Technology, Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), and the director of the Institute of Microfluidic Chip Development in Biomedical Engineering. He got his Bachelor and Master degrees in Metal Material Engineering at Harbin University of Science and Technology of China. He obtained his PhD degree in Control Theory and Control Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University of China. He was a postdoctor researcher/research associate at the University of Pennsylvania of USA from 2006 to 2011. He was an associate professor at Xiamen University of China from 2011 to 2012 before he joined BUCT.
