On August 4, 2024, the final of the "Programming Skills Competition" of the CAIP Programming Design track of the 2024 RAICOM Robot Developer Competition (RAICOM) hosted by the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Organizing committee of the RoboCom International Open Championship was held online. A total of 29 members of our ACM competition team entered the final through the provincial competition selection. After intense competition, the team members of our Institute ACM Competition achieved excellent results in this final, winning a total of 9 national first prizes, 9 second prizes, and 2 third prizes, refreshing the best results in the competition history.
Since 2015, RAICOM has been successfully held for eight sessions, covering more than 30 provinces across the country, with a total of 100,000 participants. Raicom has become a well-known large-scale robot event independently initiated and organized in China, and has been continuously selected into the "National Ranking of Ordinary Universities Discipline Competition" by the Chinese Association of Higher Education. The competition has been unanimously recognized by all sectors of society.
The 2024 RAICOM Robot Developer Competition (RAICOM) aims to promote the innovative application of digital technology, artificial intelligence and robotics, improve students' professional skills through a variety of competition methods, build a communication platform in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics, and promote the combination of higher education knowledge and practice with service robots as the center. Promote the docking and transformation of education and industry, explore learning, innovative, and composite skilled talents, and truly implement the goal of promoting high-quality industrial development with competition.
In recent years, the School of Information Technology has continuously tapped its potential, continuously improved the level of discipline competition, and achieved good results in many international and domestic programming competitions. The ACM competition team once again achieved excellent results in the final of the RAICOM Robot Developer Competition, which is another test of the implementation effect of the School of Information Technology to promote teaching and the integration of teaching and competition. In the future, we will continue to work hard to effectively promote the "double first-class" construction of the college and contribute to cultivating outstanding innovative talents.
