On June 15, 2026, the 2026 Master’s Degree Conferral Ceremony of the School of Information Science and Technology was grandly held in the academic lecture hall of the Conference Center. Professor Su Haijia, Vice President of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, attended the ceremony. Wang Youqing, Dean of the School of Information Science and Technology; Associate Deans Li Dazi and Zhang Fan; Professor Geng Zhiqiang from the Computer Discipline; Professor Zhou Jinglin from the Control Discipline; Professor Zhou Yongsheng from the Information Engineering Discipline; faculty of the Graduate Student Affairs Office; as well as the 2026 cohort of master’s graduates and their family representatives were present. The ceremony was presided over by Feng He, Party Secretary of the School of Information Science and Technology.
The ceremony opened with the solemn national anthem. On behalf of the school, Dean Wang Youqing extended warm congratulations to all graduates who had successfully completed their studies and earned master’s degrees. He urged all graduates to uphold their original aspiration for academic research and noble integrity, cultivate self-cultivation through the trends of the times, forge ahead with diligent practice and pioneering innovation, and embark on new journeys armed with youthful knowledge to write brand-new chapters of life.
Thereafter, Professor Geng Zhiqiang of Computer Discipline, Professor Zhou Jinglin of Control Discipline and Professor Zhou Yongsheng of Information Engineering Discipline delivered messages to graduates respectively. They encouraged the students to stay true to themselves, maintain everlasting enthusiasm for exploring new knowledge, uphold an innovative and progressive spirit, pursue excellence through steadfast dedication on their new life journeys, realize self-worth and shine with youthful vitality in all walks of life.
Associate Dean Zhang Fan read out theDecision of the Degree Evaluation Committee of Beijing University of Chemical Technology on Conferring Degrees to 2026 Master Graduates of the School of Information Science and Technology. Following that, the degree awarding session for academic and professional masters officially commenced. Dressed in academic gowns, graduates took the stage one after another to receive the cap-tilting ritual from school leaders and supervisors and collect their degree certificates.
After the degree conferral session, Party Secretary Feng He congratulated all graduates. He hoped that the students would keep the alma mater’s exhortations in mind, firm up their ideals and convictions, shoulder the responsibilities of the times, and dedicate their youthful strength to the great cause of building a strong country and realizing national rejuvenation.
