To further consolidate the achievements of the college’s research team development, support faculty members to delve into cutting-edge fields and carry out innovative research, the School of Information successfully convened an exchange meeting on its 2025 science and innovation research projects. Professor Zhang Fan, Vice Dean in charge of research, the research secretary, and representatives from all research teams attended the meeting.


At the meeting, Vice Dean Zhang Fan elaborated on the topic selection criteria, reform measures and cultivation objectives for the college’s science and innovation research projects. He encouraged all research teams to align with the college’s 15th Five-Year Plan and the development requirements of provincial and ministerial key laboratories/research centers, proactively explore research directions centered on new quality productive forces, aim for landmark research achievements, and maintain perseverance in long-term research.
He then introduced the review procedures for this round of projects, including formal review, double-blind peer review and evaluation criteria, and explained the assessment requirements for project completion as well as the application plan for next year’s science and innovation projects. Participating faculty raised questions and held discussions regarding project progress, fund disbursement and closing requirements.
The School of Information launched a call for science and innovation research proposals from all research teams at the end of 2025. A total of 15 applications were submitted across the college, consisting of 7 key projects and 8 general projects. Following formal review, expert blind evaluation and deliberation at the Party-Administration Joint Meeting, 2 key projects and 8 general projects were officially approved.
This exchange meeting has laid a solid foundation for elevating the quality of the college’s research teams and generating high-level research outputs. It guides all research teams to target the scientific development goals outlined in the college’s 15th Five-Year Plan, thereby gathering robust momentum for the high-quality development of scientific research at the School of Information.
