Recently, Professor Xiang Deliang from our college has been appointed as Associate Editor of *IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing (TGRS), a prestigious academic journal published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
IEEE TGRS is the flagship journal of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS), and one of the top tier academic journals in the fields of geoscience and remote sensing. Its scope covers remote sensing systems, spaceborne remote sensing, electromagnetic scattering and radiative transfer, image processing and analysis, data fusion and assimilation, as well as electromagnetic computation. Research topics span the atmosphere, surface and subsurface environments. The journal showcases state of the art advances in space based remote sensing and earth observation, and ranks among the most influential international publications in this discipline. Classified as a CAS Q1 Top journal, it has an impact factor of 9.4, enjoying tremendous influence in remote sensing technologies and geoscience.
Professor Xiang Deliang is a recipient of the Beijing University of Chemical Technology Young Talent Hundred Person Program, serving as a professor and doctoral supervisor. He was awarded the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Prize of the military. His research focuses on radar remote sensing information processing, remote sensing information fusion for unmanned systems, and target perception. He has published more than 90 high level papers in internationally top remote sensing journals including *ISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing*, *IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing*, and *International Journal of Applied Earth Observation and Geoinformation*, among which 8 are ESI Highly Cited Papers and 2 are ESI Hot Papers. As principal investigator, he has undertaken over 20 research projects including National Natural Science Foundation projects and various national defense research projects.
